Diary entry final

Dec 1
Chose first area to shoot which was a park. It is a big park so we decided to shoot only one part of it, consisting of pathways and a ‘dome’ where we took some footage. Recorded clips where we were walking together and sitting in the ‘dome’

Dec 4
The next area was the pavement of a road. Showing a suburban background with houses and a few people. We tried filming different shots from different angles where the boy and girl meet each other in the video.

Jan 24
We went back to the park to record footage of the actor (boy) and actress (girl) walking together. Shots of the park were taken so when the footage of the park is to placed in the video, these shots can be used to set the scene

Jan 31
Recorded actress sitting and lying on bed, looking at photo of boyfriend who is no longer there in her life. Took various shots as we want to use this scene of the shot as we want to use this scene of the start of the video, and at the end.

Feb 7
Recorded clips of actor crossing the road, lying on the road, and of a car driving past to create part of the video which shows that the actor (boyfriend) has been run over

Editing
After having learnt the basics if using final cut express, we placed the song in the timeline, so we could fit the video clips to the music.

Jan 10
We trimmed some clips and placed them in the timeline, leaving gaps between some clips at the start to match the music. Part of the video we just completed after this had no gaps.

Feb 7
More clips adding in to the timeline. Added transactions such as cross dissolve and fade in fade out. Also changed the colour of many clips distracting them. Slowed down some clips. Layered an unused clip over another to create a layer effect where both clips are used
